Properties
Aluminum phosphate has a protective effect and coats the gastric mucosa. It also has a cytoprotective role: stimulate the production of endogenous prostaglandins that promote the secretion of mucus and bicarbonate, increase blood flow to the mucosa, and reduce acid secretion.
Glutamine is an important source of energy for fast- renewing cells, such as those in the digestive tract. This amino acid therefore helps maintain the integrity of the gastric mucosa and aids healing of ulcer lesions.
Aloe Vera gel contains leptins, which may inhibit stomach acid secretion by affecting parietal cells directly. The tannins, saponins and flavonoids contained in the gel may be responsible for its cytoprotective action and anti-inflammatory properties on digestive mucosa. Finally, Aloe vera stimulates the production of mucus by glandular cells and improves its properties.
